Why You'll Find Different Images Here Than on Fine Art America

Visitors occasionally ask why some photographs appear on my website but aren't available on my Fine Art America print gallery. The answer is simple: while the two sites complement one another, they serve very different purposes.

My website is my creative home. It brings together original photography, restored vintage photographs, digital artwork, mixed media, travel images, works in progress, and the stories behind many of the images. It is where I can share projects that interest me, document the restoration of historical photographs, and preserve remarkable images that deserve to be seen—even when I have no intention of offering them as prints. Some collections exist simply because they have historical value, tell an interesting story, or represent a successful restoration that I'd like to share with others.

Fine Art America, on the other hand, is my print gallery. The images I upload there are carefully selected because I believe they will make beautiful wall art or appeal to collectors and home decorators. Every photograph is evaluated not only for its artistic merit, but also for its potential as a finished print. Many images are further developed into black-and-white fine art editions, vintage travel posters, minimalist designs, or other creative interpretations before they become part of my print collection.

One of my favorite projects involves restoring vintage photographs collected over many years. Modern restoration techniques—including Photoshop and carefully applied AI tools—allow me to repair fading, scratches, tears, dust, and other damage while preserving the character and authenticity of the original image. Some of these restored photographs become fine art prints, while others remain part of my online archive because they are historically interesting or simply deserve to be preserved and appreciated.
